Ronald Cheung

Grew up in Canada, collaborative pianist Ronald Cheung enjoys a versatile career as soloist, accompanist, vocal coach, and conductor. He is a scholarship recipient for Songfest 2012 in Los Angeles, where he attended masterclasses and coachings by distinguished artists including Margo Garrett (Juilliard), Martin Katz (Michigan), and Graham Johnson. Cheung had spent two summers working with diction legendary Nico Castel at Opera NUOVA in Edmonton, Canada, along with other coaches and singers, as well as French specialists François LeRoux and Rosemary Langry at VISI at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. Cheung Studied with two of Margo Garrett's distinguished students, Claudia Chen for solo performance, and Laura Loewen for language diction, accompanying and vocal coaching. 

 

In Hong Kong, he collaborates with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts, Opera Hong Kong, Opera Society of Hong Kong, the Yip's Children's Choir of Hong Kong, and Musica Viva.
