Candy Chik
Voice Teacher
Coloratura soprano and choral conductor, Candy Chik was featured as one of the soloists in the BBC Planet Earth II concert with The Hong Kong Philharmonic, the Second Spirit in the opera The Magic Flute (Fuzhou and Hong Kong) with Opera Hong Kong, and a soloist in Opera Hong Kong's outreach programme.
Chik has been an instructor at the HKU SPACE, voice coach at the CU Chorus, conductor at the OHK Children Chorus, and pianist at the Yip's Children's Choir with whom she performed in 18 countries.
Chik graduated from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (Voice) after obtaining her BA (Music) degree as a piano major, and an M. Phil degree in Sports Science & P. E. from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, which awarded her a scholarship to study Jazz at McGill University. She has been furthering her study overseas and locally in choral conducting, voice and acting.
Chik is currently Assistant Chorus Master of the Opera Hong Kong Chorus, pianist of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Choir, conductor at The Hong Kong Children's Choir, and a few local schools. As a singer, she is a member of the HK Phil Chorus Fellowship Programme.
