An active actor, acting coach and stage director, Freddie Chan graduated from the School of Journalism and Communication of the Hong Kong Shue Yan University, and School of Drama of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. He is currently a Life Education tutor for various primary schools, as well as drama coach and ambassador of ‘Community Cultural Ambassador Scheme’ organized by Leisure and Cultural Services Department.
A keen educator in theatre arts for the young generation, Freddie has directed ‘The Wizard of Oz’ and ‘The Lion King’ for two prestigious schools in Hong Kong. He was appointed Artistic Director for “Youth Love Theatre” organized by The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups. Freddie was invited by Caritas to host a series of workshops and performances including, “My First Time”, “Our Story - Love and Sex” and “Body Speak” for youth and adults. Recent engagements include “The last Journey in Our Life” and “I am Queer” for The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups as part of the Life and Sex education project.
Freddie obtained his Professional Diploma in Applied Theatre & Drama Education from the Hong Kong Art School and has attended various workshops on theatre clowning.
